Mining and defence capital advisory / Stockholm
Frontier Resource Systems raises equity and private capital for critical metals projects and arranges offtake into Western defence and industrial supply chains. We are two Australians resident in Stockholm, acting as the European presence for mining companies and defence technology firms that need one, with access to the family offices, specialist resource funds and development finance institutions that fund this sector.

What we do
Two kinds of company come to us. Early stage miners who need European capital and a buyer for the output, and defence or dual use technology firms who need a credible European presence before procurement and partnership conversations start. Both need someone resident in Europe who can open the door and stand behind the numbers once it is open.
01 Equity
Private placements, strategic cornerstones and pre IPO rounds for exploration and development stage companies.
02 Debt
Senior, mezzanine, streaming, royalty and offtake linked structures for assets approaching production.
03 Offtake
Western aerospace, defence and industrial buyers are structurally short of traceable, non-Chinese supply. A signed offtake changes how the same project is priced by every lender in the process.
04 Presence
For companies without people on the ground in Europe, we are the desk that takes the meetings, reads the room and reports back honestly on what the market will and will not support.
Sources of capital
Nordic and continental family offices have carried resource exposure across generations and remain structurally underserved with credible deal flow at the lower end of the market. Allocation decisions there are made through established relationships rather than intermediated distribution. Frontier maintains those relationships and places transactions into them.
Primary
Discretionary capital across the Nordics, Benelux, Switzerland and the DACH region, unconstrained by fund life and able to underwrite single asset exposure. Ticket sizes from EUR 5M to EUR 50M, deployed as primary equity, convertible instruments or shareholder loans.
Specialist
Dedicated mining funds, royalty and streaming platforms, and credit funds running a resources allocation. Investment committee timelines run longer, and a lead commitment from this pool anchors the book.
Official
Critical minerals mandates at European and North American agencies have reopened senior debt capacity, alongside guarantees and political risk cover, for assets that commercial lenders continue to price as frontier risk.
Where we work
We take mandates where title is defensible, permitting is knowable and a European investor can hold the asset without a governance argument. It is a narrow filter, and we apply it before we sign.
Core
Gold, copper, tungsten and the wider critical minerals suite. Deep technical bench, clean title, and an allied jurisdiction that Western defence procurement can qualify without a policy argument.
Core
Copper, silver, lithium and gold across Chile, Peru, Brazil and Argentina. Strong geology, with jurisdiction risk that varies country by country and gets priced into the structure.
Home market
Underexplored and underused assets sitting close to the capital that would fund them and to the European primes that would buy the output. The EU Critical Raw Materials Act and rising defence budgets are now pulling in the same direction.
Selective
Case by case, usually where an existing relationship or an offtaker brings the introduction and the jurisdiction risk is already understood by the capital.
How an engagement runs
Two phases, with the offtake conversation opened inside the first. We finish the preparation before we approach anyone, because a failed process is expensive and the same investors remember it the following year.
Technical reports, title, permitting status and the existing capital structure. You get the objections a lender will raise, in advance of the lender raising them.
A written view on whether the asset is fundable today, which workstreams stand between it and a term sheet, and what the capital is likely to cost.
A model built to the standard the capital expects, with debt capacity, sensitivities and downside cases that survive diligence.
Equity, debt, royalty, stream or a combination, sized against dilution, control and the timeline to first production.
Where the product suits a defence or industrial supply chain, we open the buyer conversation early, since a letter of intent from a qualified Western offtaker moves the financing terms materially.
Teaser, investor presentation and information memorandum, written in the language a family office principal actually uses.
Quiet conversations with six to ten target investors to test structure and price before a formal process starts.
Targeted release to the full network. We arrange the meetings and we sit in them.
Data room, site visits and the flow of questions between your technical team and the investor's advisers.
Term sheet, valuation, covenants and board rights, negotiated for how they behave over the life of the asset.
Conditions precedent, first drawdown, and the investor reporting rhythm that keeps the round open for a second tranche.
Who you deal with
Both principals are Australians who have spent their careers in Stockholm. That is the offering in one line: people who understand how an Australian or North American board thinks, working inside European regulation, capital and procurement every day. You deal with them directly, at every meeting and on every call.
Founding Partner / Stockholm
Adam is an Australian metals and mining engineer in Stockholm, with a BEng (Hons) from UNSW, an MRes in Chemistry from Imperial College London and membership of Engineers Australia. As founder and chief executive he built and exited GREEN14, a defence and critical minerals technology platform for Western resilience.
He has led full value chain critical metals projects across tungsten, titanium, silicon and rare earth supply chains, and mining projects on critical minerals of up to USD 200M. At TASCA, whose deposits span Central Asia, Europe and Australia, he has negotiated development programmes with state and industrial partners covering titanium, nickel and tungsten alloy production.
At Western Strategic Minerals he is assembling undervalued operations and permitted deposits across Northern Europe into a single financeable platform. He has represented critical raw materials processing on European Commission delegations and works across the Australian and European debate on supply chain resilience.
